- One of the organizers of the 2003 Rose Revolution, Tbilisi, Georgia.
- He was a member of the Parliament of Georgia in 2004-2016. Chairman of the Committee on Defense and Security.
- He was active participant of all so called color revolution in Ukrain, Kirgizstan, Moldova, wherefore he appeared under red-circular notice upon the request Russian Federation by abolishing constitution of Interpol in 2013.Later Interpol admitted the abolishment of constitution and decontrolled from the list, but he is still wanted person in Russia, for provocations and organizing terror acts in Russia – accusations are fabricated. For helping democratic opposition In Belarus. He was sentenced for 25 years of jail by Lukashenko government.
- In 2016 Givi Targamadze and his driver escaped injury when their car blew up in the capital Tbilisi, but five unidentified passers by were injured. it was terror act against him.
